SDIMT KNOWLEDGE CENTRE

Sheela Devi Institute of Management and Technology (SDIMT) Knowledge Centre was set up in 2008 to support the academic and training activities in the area of management. At present knowledge centre has a collection of about 4000 books, documents and non-book material in the core area of economics, finance, information technology, management and annual reports of ministries and industries. In addition, the centre has a collection of non-book material such as CD-ROMs, indexing databases, etc. on economics, finance, management, information technology and its allied areas. The knowledge centre subscribes to about 25 journals and magazines both national and international in the core area of economics, finance, management and information technology. It subscribes to 5 newspapers and maintains the press clippings for the use of faculty and students.

It has computerized all its operations by using an integrated ERP. Moreover, the centre has developed an intranet to provide access of online resources such as journals, reference sources and other online resources in the area of economics, management and information and communication technology. It provides conducive environment to the readers. The knowledge centre has reading cum reference room that having the capacity of more than 100 readers.It meets the information needs of faculty and students of MBA, BBA, BCA and visiting faculty.

The Knowledge Centre has assigned the period of lending documents to different categories of users:
Faculty members can borrow up to 05 books from the library for a period of two weeks only. In addition, they can also borrow one back issue of the magazine for overnight only.
Reference books, current journals/magazines and newspapers would not be issued to the readers.
MBA students can borrow 04 books from the centre for the period of 15 days.

The Knowledge Centre remains open from Monday to Friday. The timings of the centre is : Monday to Friday 9.00 AM to 10.00 PM
